AFTER winning the recent Firemen’s Tournament, held at the Mountain Rise Astro at Mountain Rise Primary School, Hugo’s Soccer team banded together to donate their winnings to the Msunduzi Hospice Association on Friday.

“We decided on the spot that we were not going to keep the money and actually gave R500 to the runners-up in the tournament,” said Hugo’s owner Melvyn Odayan.

He added added that they also donated funds to the Cerebral Palsy Association (CPA).

Hospice chairperson Pete Jugmohan said that the money will be used for their six lucky draws that they will be running over the course of their Hospice Dance, which takes place on Saturday, December 1.
