Water shutdown tomorrow

2016-09-21 06:00

THERE will be a 30-hour shutdown of water supply to Msunduzi, starting from 8am on 22 September with the estimated completion time by 1.42pm on 23 September.

“The 30-hour shutdown period does not mean that all our residents will go without water for the entire duration. These times refer to the bulk system being shut and opened up.

“Umgeni Water, in conjunction with Msunduzi municipality has increased our flow to core reservoirs to ensure that we have storage over this period. However, we urge our residents to be extra vigilant in the use of water over this period so we can maximise our storage and therefore have an uninterrupted water supply.

“We regret any inconvenience to our customers and we will endeavour to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted water supply,” said Thobeka Mafumbatha, spokesperson of Msunduzi Municipality.
