WEDNESDAY mornings have just got a lot tastier with the introduction of Willowton Group’s #nowwecooking segment every Wednesday to eTV’s popular programme, The Morning Show.

Since Wednesday, May 30 between 6 am and 8 am, viewers have been able to tune into a fun on-air cooking demonstration hosted by The Morning Show’s presenters with renowned chef Sylvester Nair cooking a fun, easy-to-do recipe using one or more of Willowton Group’s delicious products.

“We are excited to show South Africa some really fun and innovative recipes incorporating Willowton Group’s food products,” said David Sweidan, marketing executive of Willowton Group.

“This cooking segment will form part of our extensive #nowwecooking campaign which entrenches Willowton Group as leaders in the FMCG industry and seeks to share usable and tasty recipes with foodies everywhere.

“Willowton Group’s products form a really flavour-enhancing addition to any recipe and Chef Sylvester Nair will, no doubt, showcase the multiple brands’ versatility on the show.”

A leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods’ organisation, Willowton Group is home to a variety of entrenched South African brands which add quality to every meal. Their food brands that will be used on the #nowwecooking show include Sunfoil Sunflower cooking oil, Sunfoil Canola cooking Oil, Allsome rice, D’lite spread, Sunshine D margarine and WoodenSpoon margarine.

“Cheeky Media are proud to have Willowton as a sponsor of The Morning Show, and we look forward to creating some amazing meals using Willowton’s great selection of spreads, oils and rice.

“And our in-studio chef, Sylvester Nair, couldn’t agree more!” said Yusuf Stevens of Cheeky Media.

Chef Sylvester Nair will be using his creative flair to incorporate the Willowton Group ingredients in a variety of creations.

Originally from Verulam on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, Nair has been passionate about cooking since his days in the family kitchen as a child. Noting his son’s passion for cooking, Nair’s dad took him to the hotel kitchen where he worked, introducing Nair to the food industry, fuelling his passion for life as a chef.

Following graduation, Nair worked in kitchens under the likes of Chris Erasmus and Leon Coetzee, eventually finding his way to The Da Vinci Hotel and Suites in Sandton.

Nair will be joined by The Morning Show’s vibrant presenters — the energetic and comedic Jason Goliath; the confident and bubbly Michaella Russell; Tino Chinyani, one of the country’s hottest new talents; and former Miss South Africa, qualified medical doctor and lieutenant in the South African Military Services, Ade van Heerden.

Every Wednesday morning this dynamic crew will feature exciting recipes that highlight the many health benefits of Willowton Group’s brands. Audiences will also get to see the recipes from the selected finalists of the Now We Cooking #cookingwithemojis competition, running on the Now We Cooking Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NowWeCooking, Twitter, and Instagram handles @NowWeCooking.
