PAFTA FLEA MARKET

PAFTA will be holding a flea market on 2 April at the PAFTA Hall at 187 Deccan Road, Northdale. Cost of a table/staff is R100. Phone 033 387 8005 for more information. Anyone wishing to donate items to be sold at the market can contact Suvira at 033 387 8005.

DUNROBIN EASTER MARKET

The Dunrobin Night Market takes place on 24 March, before the Easter long weekend from 6pm to 9pm at the Dunrobin Garden Centre, 31 Warwick Road. Dunrobin Market is a craft and food lovers’ market in the heart of Pietermaritzburg that focuses on local products and creating community. There will be an Easter egg hunt for the children and many more fun activities.

Grease, hosted by Starlight Cinema and Entertainment at The Secret Garden and The Boma in Pietermaritzburg, will be shown on 1 April. Gates open at 6.30pm and the movie starts at approximately 7.30pm (depending on light).

Bring blankets, picnic baskets and chairs for a great movie night under the stars. Tickets are R50 for adults, R40 for pensioners and children 12 and under, and children under three get in free. To secure your seat, tickets can be booked online through webtickets. Secure parking available. Snacks will be sold at the event. Please note this event is weather-dependent. SANBS AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the SANBS Midlands Branch Donor Committee of the KwaZulu-Natal zone will be held at Loop Street Donor Centre, 294 Jabu Ndlovu Street on Tuesday, 29 March at 17.00 for 17.30.

COLOURFEST

The stage is set and the lines are drawn for Pietermaritzburg to be splashed in colour as the annual ColourFest is celebrated on Sunday, 27 March at the Lahore Road grounds. There is an exciting line-up including a talent show followed by a mix of sounds from an exciting line-up of DJ’s. Entry fee is R50 for adult and R20 for children, which includes a free packet of colour powder.

CHILDREN AND GRIEF WORKSHOP

Msunduzi Hospice will be hosting a Children and grief workshop at their Conference Centre at 200 Zwartkop Road, Prestbury on 14 to 15 April from 8.30am to 3.30pm. The cost is R570 per person.
