Street Store La Dame Royal with Pietermaritzburg Community and District Chest will be hosting the second Pietermaritzburg Street Store on 18 July, Mandela Day from 9am to 3pm at the Metropolitan Methodist Church at the corner of Peter Kerchoff and Langalibalele streets. The public is encouraged to drop off their old, but wearable and in good condition, clothing that can be used in the street store. All clothing will be distributed to the homeless in Pietermaritzburg who can visit the store and “shop” for clothing at no cost. Multiple sclerosis meetingThe Multiple Sclerosis Society, KZN branch, is hosting an enlightening and informative MS function in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday, 23 July at Victoria Country Club at 3pm. Topics to be discussed include the Human Cannabinoid system, the silent MS symptoms, MS through culture and race, how to handle depression, anxiety and mood swings and how to deal with people who think there is nothing wrong with you when you only have the silent symptoms.
