MISS Eagle South Africa Ambassador 2018, Anathi Mzimkhulu urges the public to vote for her to enable her to compete in the semi-final that will be held at the end of June in Johannesburg.
Mzimkhulu, from the Gomora area in Edendale said it has always been her dream to be part of the big pageant competition.
“This is my chance to make it big in the modelling industry. If I can get enough votes, I will be able to make it through to the next round. I want to make everyone proud in this competition. I have done a lot of things to score points like doing charity work, but now I need votes.
I am urging everyone to please vote for me so that I can go and bring the crown home. When I am going there, I will not only be representing myself but I will be representing
Pietermaritzburg,” she said.
She said that she started modelling at the age of 10, after being inspired by her older sister who was a model.
“She [sister] loved modelling and enjoyed it. She told me that I must try it and see if it works for me and I did. Since then, I never looked back because I realised that it is something that I want to do for the rest of my life. I take it as my career now. It’s working for me and it makes me happy.”
Mzimkhulu said modelling is not only about walking on the ramp but it is also about self confidence.
