MUSIC-LOVING hippies are in for a fun-filled day when the Music Kitchen in Newton Park hosts the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Tribute Festival on Saturday, March 16.

The event, a brainchild of local siblings Lindy and Glenton Kendrick, promises an evening of great entertainment with local artists performing songs by Santana, Joni Mitchell, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, and many more.

The decor theme will be true to the era, including stalls displaying and selling fun clothing, novelty items, and even face painting.

A restaurant and bar will also be open all day to cater for all the hungry and thirsty hippies, even the vegetarian ones.

Doors open at 11:00 and the live music starts at 12:00.

The event will close off with the Woodstock Supergroup performing the final set at 23:00.

Tickets can be purchased on www.Quicket.co.za at R125 per person. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their hippie attire.
