2015-08-26 06:00

Aurora is drawing near to its 26th Annual Fete, and this year its celebrations will be extra special, as they are in honour of Aurora’s founder Joan Goosen, who recently passed away.

The fete promises everything from entertainment and Boerewors Rolls to Pancakes, and will take place on August 29 at Aurora’s Special Care Centre. The money raised at the celebrations will go to the profoundly mentally and physically disabled children and adults. There is a programme for the day, here will be:

09.00 Music from Dave Grobbelaar

09.30 An auction

10.00 The Pipe band

10.30 An excerpt from the Gilbert and Sullivan Show – Elvis

11.00 Animals in Wonderland – Reptile Show

11.30 Indian Dancing from Geetanjali Acadmay of Arts.

The fete has so much to offer; toys, sweets, face-painting and many more activities for the children. There will be a tea room, fruit and veg and puddings, just to name a few.
