Avoid traffic rush during Eid

2015-07-15 06:00

ON behalf of the Muslim congregation of Port Elizabeth, we request motorists to exercise caution when travelling along Bramlin Road at the spot designated for the open-air prayer service.

As commonly understood, the road between Westering and Malabar in Port Elizabeth should experience a heavy flow of traffic on Saturday, July 18, as the Eid celebrations take place between 7:30am to 9:30am. About 7000 to 10 000 people are expected to attend the services. Because of the large volume of traffic at this hour of the morning, we appeal to motorists either to use an alternate route or to exercise caution and patience when using that route.

We would like to apologise to motorists for any inconvenience that might be caused during this time and trust that our services will not cause any disturbances to others.
