DIE kunstenaarsduo, Anthony Harris (skilder) en Donve Branch (keramiek) se 18de gesament­like uitstalling het onlangs in die Baai geopen.

Die uitstalling Deep Time: Earth ­Dialogue werp volgens Harris ’n ­moderne blik op die 18de-eeuse Skotse geoloog James­ Hutton se filosofie oor geologiese tydsverloop. Die moderne wetenskap het meer ­onlangs bewys dat die Aarde sowat 4,54 miljard jaar oud is.

Harris het gesê Branch vuur haar ­keramiekwerke volgens ’n metode wat talle eeue gelede reeds vir dié kunsvorm aangewend is. “My skilderye ‘ondersoek’ geologiese tyd, sosiale landskappe en politiek-kulturele identiteit.”

Die uitstalling is tot 17 Julie in die AH Gallery, Cuylerstraat, Port ­Elizabeth te sien.
