Three days of excitement await in Gamtoos

THE GAM 1000 marks three days of excitement in the Gamtoos Valley.

The 28th annual GAM 1000 Angling Competition will be hosted by the Gamtoos Angling Club at the Big Fish Camping Grounds on the Gamtoos River situated between Jeffreys Bay and Port Elizabeth from October 3 to 6.

On Friday, October 2, there will be a before party for all anglers to get to know each other.

Measure and Release will apply during daytime. All fish will be measured and there will be no weighing.

Great prizes are up for grabs. The winner will walk away with R10 000, the runner-up with R5 000 and the angler placed third with R3 000.

All anglers must be entered prior to the competition. The entry fee is R150 per angler and R100 for junior anglers. Entry tickets are available from Callie Bosch in Humansdorp at 082 925 7454, Big Fish Deon 083 226 5770 (Gamtoos), Vis-sermansvriend (Despatch), Extreme Marine (Uitenhage), and at Commercial Marine and Stef’s Alcocks Fish Tackle, Hook, Line andamp; Sinker in Port Elizabeth.
