MASTERTONS Coffee and Tea Specialists, South Africa’s oldest coffee roastery, celebrates its 94th anniversary with the launch of a new roastery in Main Road, Walmer. The new flagship store combines the iconic roastery with the equipment store. The expanded offering promises to deliver many firsts, with the introduction of a state-of-the-art coffee bar. Customers will now be able to enjoy an extensive range of drinks from cappuccinos to slow brewed coffee and specialised drinks like flat whites and cortados. And just like the suburb of Central, the place that was home to Mastertons for over five decades, the new property in Main Road, Walmer encapsulates the old and new. Hand roasted blends masterfully created by the Mastertons father & son team, together with exceptional customer service will be combined with new experiences, including the coffee bar fitted with the finest equipment the industry has to offer. With names like Sanremo, Mahlkönig and other industry leaders, the growing coffee community in Port Elizabeth will have a chance to discover advanced espresso technology. In addition, the new location offers safer and more convenient parking. Director Ryler Masterton said, “Main Road, Walmer is fast becoming the boutique business hub of Port Elizabeth, and with the many old buildings, each with their own rich histories, it was the perfect area to relocate to.” He added “Walmer is also more centrally located and will be a far more convenient destination for many of our customers. We felt the expansion would allow us to grow and provide our customers with the highest level of service.”The store opened to the public yesterday, December 4.
