Age-in-Action Market day this Saturday

2016-03-16 06:00

THE Age-in-Action organisation will be hosting its first market day this Saturday, March 19.

Age-in-Action is an NGO in Gelvandale working with the elderly in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro and its surrounding areas striving to uphold the rights and dignity of older persons through lobbying, research, improved access to care, support, protection, training, development and sustainable economic empowerment.

In light of the financial crisis the NGO sector is experiencing, Age-in-Action is planning our very first market day as a means of generating income.

The community is invited to support the market day which aims to raise much-needed funds for the organisation. Refreshments, second hand items and much more will be on sale.

Stalls are available at R120 for entrepreneurs who wish to sell their goods.

For more info contact Liam Petrus on 041 457 1466/7.

The event will take place from 8am to 12pm at the Age-in-Action office situated on the corner of Springbok and Van Duuren Streets in Gelvandale. Entry is free.
