Art Museum hosts children’s kite-making workshops

THE Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum will, during the school holidays, be hosting art workshops for children between the ages of seven and 15.

These workshops will be a demonstration on how to make a decorative kite from scratch.

Children will explore with a variety of colourful materials, including tissue paper, newspaper, plastic and more.

Dates for the workshops are as follows:

Monday, December 11

Wednesday, December 13

Thursday, December 14

Monday, January 8

Wednesday, January 10

Friday, January 12

Please note: The workshops will take place from 9am to midday at R30 per child, per day.

All materials will be provided and the participating children are requested to bring along an apron or old clothes including their own packed lunches.

Booking is essential as only a limited number of children can be accommodated.
