Aspen retain top spot in Industrial Football League

ASPEN maintained a winning streak in the Nelson Mandela Bay Industrial Football League, as they defeated Sovereign Foods 3-0 at the Malabar Ground on Sunday.

Following their consistent outstanding performances since the start of the season, it was clear that Aspen had cemented their position on top of the league log table.

However, Aspen were mindful of the fact that they should score more goals during their games in order to stay ahead of Shatterprufe Struandale, who are hot on their heels.

League contenders, Willard Batteries, thumped Eberspacher 3-0 in a one-sided game at Westview Grounds.

Eveready were awarded soft points after Ford failed to honour their game, while fans saw Continental digging deep to salvage a narrow 4-3 victory over Distell at Westview Grounds.

Other league results:

Tenneco Deal Party 2 w/o 0 Conti-Tech

Lumotech 2–1 Autocast

Kanu 3–2 BASF

Lemaitre 1–3 Faurecia PE

Shatterprufe Struandale 10–2 Famous Brands
