SUN International has teamed up with the makers of the acclaimed Great Moscow Circus and Great Euro Circus to bring Aussie: The Australian Circus Spectacular to South Africa in early 2016.

The talented, daring and slightly insane performers will travel the length and breadth of the country to dazzle and amaze audiences from 12 February to 22 May.

They will be performing in Port Elizabeth at The Boardwalk’s Festival Lawns from February 25 to March 6.

Amongst the other Sun International venues that will be transformed for the thrilling circus shows, that use no animals in circus acts, are Carnival City’s Big Top Arena in Ekurhuleni, GrandWest’s Grand Arena in Cape Town, Windmill Casino and Entertainment World in Bloemfontein, Crawford College lawns under the Circus Big Top hosted by Sibaya Casino in Durban, and The Carousel in Hammanskraal near Pretoria.

This is the first time that AUSSIE has visited foreign soil in its international tour, and it promises to leave audiences in awe with the cast performing unbelievable feats.

Highlights of the show include one of the world’s few surviving human cannonball acts performed by an expert stuntman Luiz Daza. Audiences will also marvel at the dizzying Globe of Death act which features up to five motorbike riders circling a daring dancer with Mad Max style bravado before the sphere splits in half, and thrilling freestyle motor cross stunts during which riders reach gut- wrenching heights beneath the circus Big Top.

Between these breathtaking and death-defying stunts, a troupe of talented and equally daring Aussies will perform amazing feats of human endurance, skill and strength.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket and start from R150 per person. – REPORTER
