A NUMBER of SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League games took place on Friday, while others were played on Saturday and Sunday across the region.

Fans saw some entertaining games on Friday evening. Sibanye Colts earned a hard-earned 3-2 victory over Bush Bucks at Adcock Stadium.

Playing in front of their home supporters, NMU Madibaz Football Club shared a 1-1 draw with Highland Spurs at NMU South Campus in Summerstrand.

The third Friday game ended in a 2-2 draw, after School of Excellence FC hosted Amarhamba United at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

On Saturday the newcomers, Stinging Bees FC, injected venom into the league’s other newcomers, Young Teenagers FC, after they overcame them 4-1 at Chevrolet Stadium in New Brighton.

Roaring Tigers could not keep their home supporters happy, as they went down 2-1 to Camper United at the Chevrolet Stadium.

PE Sundowns lost 3-2 to Despatch Pioneers while Motherwell Academy drew 0-0 with FC Winners at Mawabo Dyubhele Community Grounds. In the only game that was played on Sunday, Major Chiefs suffered a 2-1 loss to Golden Aces in their Zwide derby.
