YOUNG Tigers FC wing Andile Ace Biko helped his side secure a hard-fought 1-0 win from the gallant Wells United FC during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League clash at the Motherwell NU 11 Grounds on Sunday.

The game was evenly balanced with the strikers missing clear-cut chances throughout the entire first half.

Supporters saw their goalkeepers stopping powerful shots. The two sides went to the break deadlocked in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Tigers took the game to United. United had some easy chances to score, but the forwards tried to score spectacular goals instead of focusing on placement.

However, United paid the price when the referee awarded Tigers a penalty that was scored by Biko, who sent goalkeeper Khanya Bongco to the wrong side.

Bongco was the busiest goalkeeper of the two in the second half.

Sinethemba Zephe, Siyabonga Adonisi, Thembani Mancane Stefaans and Mongezi Tom were the most outstanding Tigers players, while Thandisizwe Mbilase, Ayabulela Kapo, Lucas Mgushe and Bongco were United’s most influential players.
