MOTHERWELL sports loving prominent community figure, Dr Ngubo Biyana, made a huge difference to Seven Sundowns Sports Club after he sponsored them a brand new soccer kit on Sunday.

The sponsorship came after Sundowns’ soccer kit got lost a month ago.

Biyana stated that he was devastated when he heard that the kit had gone missing.

He said, “I was very touched when I was told by Sundowns management committee that their club’s full set of strip got lost.

“It is not easy to buy soccer kit.

“Our clubs are comprised mainly of learners and unemployed youth.

“Our clubs rely heavily on certain individuals financially. I do not know what comes into the minds of other people who steal the club’s kit. Since I am very passionate about sport, I decided to buy Sundowns a new kit because I want to see these young players playing sport.”

Sundowns trustee, Lunga Magada, said that they appreciated the sponsorship that Biyana made to their club.

Magada said, “We take pride in Biyana because he had made a huge difference to our club. We hail Biyana, for he is passionate about sport. Biyana ploughs back to the community that he is proud of.

“Our people must take note that Biyana has restored the dignity of our club. He has bought us our club colours and that makes us delighted.

“On behalf of Sundowns, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Biyana. Words cannot express how we feel,” said Magada.
