THE end is drawing near, this is the last weekend to enter the Walmer Park Baby of the Year competition for 2018 – so do not delay!

Fantastic prizes are up for grabs – so pack up your prams and make your way to the in-centre photographic studio, set up in the Edgars court at Walmer Park Shopping Centre.

The studio is open Fridays from 12:00 to 14:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 14:00 where professional photographer Heather Stevens from Wild Heart Photography will take your baby’s photograph.

The cost per entry is R50, of which R5 is donated to Isithembiso Babies Home.

The age categories are; 0-6 months, 7-12 months, 13-18 months and 19 months-2 years.

Babies that have already celebrated their second birthday are not eligible to enter.

All photographs of the entries will be on display in the centre for the duration of the competition, which closes on Sunday, September 30, at 14:00. The judges will then choose the top 10 babies in each age category.

All 40 finalists will be notified telephonically on October 1 and their photos will be published in the PE Express on Wednesday, October 3.

Those finalists must be available to meet our judges for a short interview on Wednesday, October 3, before the final prize-giving event on Saturday, October 6, at 10:00 in the Centre Court area at Walmer Park Shopping Centre.

Only colour photographs, taken by Wild Heart Photography at the in-centre studio will be eligible for entry into the competition.

Parents can collect their baby’s photographs from Kodak Express Walmer Park from October 10 and not before.
