CAMPER United FC played to a 1-1 draw when they faced FC Winners in their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League game at the Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts’ supporters expected nothing less than a win, but their side failed to make them proud. Camper is one of the high-riding teams which has seasoned players.

Winners were not threatened by the many supporters of Camper and their early goal came up courtesy of Simamkele Msutu in the eighth minute.

The home side replied with their equalising goal in the 11th minute after Lukhanyo Sherriff Rasmeni unleashed a salvo that beat FC Winners’ goalkeeper.

Camper could have wrapped up the game in the first half, but their strikers took the wrong options when they were attacking the goals. It seemed that the visitors were happy with only one point since they defended in numbers.

Camper’s forwards could not break the solid wall of Winners.

All in all, Camper head coach Gcobani Citwa should go back to the drawing board to rectify the needless mistakes his side had committed.
