CENTRESTAGE’S Ultimate Sing-Along Rock ’n Roll Party show, featuring the music of Status Quo and Creedence Clearwater Revival, will be shaking audiences into a feel-good frenzy at Old Grey on December 9 and 10.

The six-piece Centrestage All-Star band, which is guaranteed to get the audience singing out loud, is fronted by Wayne Kallis and features Andre Strydom on bass, Arno Erasmus and Sandy Robbie on guitar, Fenlin Pietie on keys and Kevin Mattheus on drums.

Kallis will bring his gravelly voice and dynamic stage energy to bear to replicate the raw “garage band” sound which has become the distinctive CCR trademark, along the driving Status Quo rock party stylings.

Status Quo classics such as In the Army Now, Rocking All Over the World, Whatever You Want, Marguerita Time, Caroline and Down Down are included in the set, along with Rock ’n Roll evergreens with the Status Quo driving guitar signature stamp such as Fun Fun Fun, Old Time Rock ’n Roll, Roadhouse Blues, Roll Over Beethoven and Get Back.

CCR favourites include Travelling Band, Down on the Corner, Suzi Q, Heard It Through the Grapevine, Up Around the Bend, Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Have You Ever Seen the Rain, Cotton Fields and Looking Out My Back Door among other great sing-along songs.

Tickets for the 7:30pm performances of the Ultimate Sing-Along Rock ’n Roll Party Show at Old Grey are available through Computicket at R160 or R140 for 8 or more.
