KEEP Caring, a charity that was founded last year by an 18-year-old looking to make a difference, will soon shift its focus to a new group – children.

Until now, Keep Caring has held two winter clothing drives, a cupcake campaign and several other events in aid of local NPOs and organisations.

Hannah’s Arms, Love Story, Save-A-Pet and Domestic Animal Care are just a few of the NPOs that have benefited from the charity’s efforts so far.

The current campaign aims to raise R10 000 to purchase anatomically correct dolls for SOS Children’s Home. The dolls are used in rape and abuse therapy sessions.

“When I visited SOS Children’s Home earlier this year, they stated that these dolls would play a vital part in therapy,” Keep Caring founder Amy Erasmus said.

The first in a series of events to raise the funds was Yoga with Erica, which was also held in celebration of Women’s Day.

The next event will be a group art class at Painting with Grapes, located in Kragga Kamma Road, tomorrow, September 6, at 17:45 for 18:00.

The group painting class is taught step-by-step by a qualified professional.

A ticket of R290 gets every participant two glasses of Bonnievale wine and light snacks from Bocadillo’s, and they each get to keep their masterpiece.
