South Africans might not be clear who in the ANC is winning the battle, but there is little doubt that it is the people of the country who are losing, writes Howard Feldman.
The South African National Zakah Fund (SANZAF) recently hosted an exhibition to showcase artworks produced by residents from Cheshire Homes in Summerstrand. The artwork, which was on sale at the exhibition, was produced by artists with physical challenges. Some of the artwork was produced using toes, lips and quadriplegic hands. The artists involved were Dan Mkele, Jackson Gqomo and Sarah Mackay. SANZAF hosted this initiative in commemoration of Nelson Mandela. In addition, SANZAF also donated 25 new blankets and bedding to the residents of Cheshire Homes.
