THE Christadelphians, one of the oldest gospel groups in the country, will present a special concert on Sunday to start their march towards their 50th anniversary celebration next year.

The concert will take place in the Allanridge Civic Centre in Uitenhage at 19:00 with the theme “He is alive! Go and Tell”.

Former Christadelphians, including Jan Fortuin, Neville Davids, George Fidaai Jaggers, Raymond Isaacs, James Arnolds, Colin Arries, Pat Uithaler and Arthur Roman, will team up with current members Danny Jacobs and Cecil Arnolds to render five songs.

The historic evening will be video-recorded and will pay tribute to deceased members Andrew Petrus (Laloe), Richard Ressouw, Joey Malgas, Piper Martin Goliath and Harold Malgas.

As part of the lead up to their 50th anniversary celebrations, the Christadelphians invite all towns and cities to participate in the special year by booking shows with the group this year and next year. Former group members will perform as special guests at some of these shows.

Entry to the show on Sunday is R50.
