Dismal performance for some ABC Motsepe League teams

MANY loyal supporters saw their sides performing dismally in the first ABC Motsepe League games of 2020 at the weekend.

Fans could not believe their eyes when Peace Makers embarrassed their high-riding neighbours, PE Stars, 5-0 at Wolfson Stadium on Saturday.

The spectators had expected a very tough derby, but it turned out to be a one-sided scrappy affair.

Birmingham City FC home supporters were taken aback when their side was punished 4-0 by Bizana Pondo Chiefs on their home turf, the Gompo Sports Field in East London.

Despite their 1-0 home loss, Sibanye FC played their hearts out against Mthatha Bucks at Gelvan Stadium.

The game between SUBS and Highbury FC, which ended up stealing the show, ended in a 1-1 draw at the Motherwell NU 2 Stadium.

Bisho Stars shared a 3-3 draw with Amavarara FC at Ginsberg Sports Field in King William’s Town.

Spears of the Nations FC collected a league point when they played to a 1-1 draw against the log leaders, Matta Milan, at Kwabulala Sports Field in Mbizana.
