ROLLING Stones fans are in for a treat as Duck Chowles flies in to Port Elizabeth to front the Centrestage band in the guise of flamboyant rocker, Mick Jagger, as they bring their popular tribute, Sticky Fingers, back to Old Grey for one night only on Sunday, December 9.Barnyard Theatre entrepreneur and show producer, Chowles, will perform gems such as Gimme Shelter, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Angie, Ruby Tuesday and Miss You, to name a few.Two members of the original Sticky Fingers lineup will accompany Chowles for the show. Comedian and drummer Gino Fabbri will reprise his role as Charlie Watts on drums and Joe van der Linden will play the rock ‘n’ roll pirate and guitarist Keith Richards. They will be joined by Sherid van Rooyen on second guitar in the guise of Ronnie Wood, Andrew Warneke playing the role of Bill Wyman on bass and Boet Strydom will play keyboards.“I listen to the Stones every day of my life,” said long-time aficionado Chowles. “This show is a labour of love for us all – an opportunity for old muso friends to get together to play the real rock ‘n’ roll music which still inspires us today.
