EC Elephants tennis players shine

The Eastern Cape Elephants u/19 SA Schools tennis team was recently placed ninth out of 16 provincial teams at the SA High Schools Interprovincial Championships in Pretoria. At the back, from left, are Sinazo Guwa, Renaldi Steenberg, Phelisa Mafu, Nicola Cilliers, Emile du Preez, Mazizi Matsha, Gerhard Botha and Yanga Dinga. In front, from left, are Jenna Wright, Carli van Onselen, Lucia Ferreira (manager), Walter Eksteen (coach), Kianu Jonker and Dylan Marx. Two players were selected for the SA team – Brandon Riesenberg (u/15) and Kianu Jonker (u/19). They represented SA in Zimbabwe on March 20 and will also travel to London later this year where they will represent SA and also visit Wimbledon.
