EP Clivia Club to host Spring Show

2016-09-14 06:00

THE Eastern Province Clivia Club will be having its annual Spring Clivia Show on September 17 and 18 and invites the public to join them in celebrating the well-known indigenous, shade-loving and water-wise plant at its best.

There will be a wide variety of colours and shapes available. The show is an ideal opportunity to buy some of the stunning plants, from seeds to flowering beauties, at reasonable prices.

Carrie Kruger, a well-known Interspecific and Miniata breeder from Sedgefield, will be attending the show and will have fantastic plants for sale.

Two other prominent growers, Charl Malan and Sean Chubb, will also be showing off their plants. Malan is known for his big Chiba flowering plants, as well as the Vico breeding lines, while Chubb is known for his peach Clivia.

Some of the local club members will also be selling their quality plants.

The show will take place at Sherwood Garden Centre in Port Elizabeth. Show times will be 9am to 5pm on the Saturday and from 9am to 3pm on the Sunday. Admission will be R10 for adults, while younger children can enter for free.
