ARTHUR’S Christmas Wonderland is back for the 17th year to spread festive season joy among the residents of Port Elizabeth.

Arthur Müller, a local celebrity in his own right, will open his home to the public once again to show off his beautifully decorated Christmas trees and decorations that he has been collecting for a number of years.

Several of the decorations and trees that form part of the display are handmade from raw materials.

Arthur’s Christmas Wonderland will feature hundreds of fairy lights and children will again be given the opportunity to write a letter to Santa and put it in Santa’s mailbox.

The event is held every year in aid of a local charity and this year’s chosen organisation is Save-A-Pet PE, an animal shelter that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned and abused dogs and cats.

Arthur prides himself on adding something new to the event every year. This year, in addition to the funds raised at the event, a number of people have decided to contribute to the noble cause by making and donating a gingerbread house to be raffled off in aid of Save-A-Pet.

The winners of the gingerbread houses will be drawn on December 15.

Arthur’s Christmas Wonderland will be open this Saturday and on December 2 and December 9 from 2pm to 5pm at 4 Framesby Villas in Heilbron Street, Framesby.

Entry is R20 per person.

Raffle tickets are currently available from Arthur on 082 565 4216. For more info visit the Arthur’s Christmas Wonderland Facebook page.
