2016-09-07 06:00

PORT Elizabeth music lovers are in for a real treat this spring as new kids on the block, Intense Events, in collaboration with Above and Beyond Productions, bring something new and exciting to the city.

Valley Vibes will take place on Heritage Day and the team invites Port Elizabethans to let their ears guide them to the music as they make their way through the breathtaking Baakens Valley and enjoy being a part of Port Elizabeth’s first music festival that will bring the Valley to life.

Guests are encouraged to throw down a blanket, relax and enjoy the Valley’s Vibe.

Starting off the musical festivities, supporting acts will include Ben du Toit, Big Man and Bear, Nique and The Cotton Fields.

The main act is the much loved indie pop group, December Streets, who have seen success across multiple national radio stations.

The group are known for fusing live with iconic power synth sounds and their melodies and beats are nothing short of addictive.

Life size games will be set up around the venue and for the peckish, there will be scrumptious food for sale.

There will be some craft beer available for purchase too.

Valley Vibes will take place on September 24 at Settlers Park and will run from 12pm to 8:30pm.

Pre-sale tickets are available at R80 from Something Good Roadhouse in Bridge Street Brewery.

However, if you’re a last minute planner, you can purchase your ticket for R100 at the door.
