Games attract more spectators

IT was crunch time when SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League hosted a number of exciting games which pulled large crowds to sports grounds over the weekend.

Amarhamba United shared a 1-1 draw with Bush Bucks at Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobuhle on Friday, while Madibaz cruised to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over PE Sundowns at NMU South Campus Fields in Summerstrand on Friday.

Despite Sibanye Colts fighting tooth and nail against Motherwell at Adcock Stadium on Friday they lost the match 1-0.

Fans also saw Despatch Pioneers holding Motherwell School of Excellence (MSE) to a 1-1 draw in their enthralling game, which took place at Khayamnandi Sports Fields in Despatch on Saturday.

Young Teenagers claimed a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Camper United at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

FC Winners were stung 2-1 by Stinging Bees at their home turf, at Mawabo Dyubhele Stadium.

Following their 1-0 home defeat, Sibanye Colts redeemed themselves after they beat Golden Aces 1-0 at Zwide Stadium.

Highland Spurs had a narrow 3-2 home win over Roaring Tigers at Jabavu Stadium.

Bushbucks rubbed salt into the wounds of Golden Aces, after they beat them 1-0 at Chevrolet Stadium in New Brighton on Sunday.

Major Chiefs went down 2-1 at the hands of Motherwell Academy at Zwide Stadium, while MSE drew 1-1 with Madibaz at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

Following their 3-2 loss to Teenagers on Saturday, Camper United bounced back with a 3-0 victory over FC Winners during their game which took place at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

In the New Brighton derby at Chevrolet Stadium, PE Sundowns emerged as winners after humiliating Roaring Tigers 4-1 in their one-sided game.
