FUN and laughter are the order of the day for the second annual St Francis Bay Oktoberfest, which will take place on October 14.

The festival offers patrons a chance to sample a range of top quality craft beers from the St Francis Brewing Company, Poison City Brewing and many more.

There will also be live music, traditional German food, market vendors, surfboard giveaways and dancing.

“The event is set up by the parents of the St Francis College students to bring some fun and an element of school fundraising to St Francis Bay,” explained event organiser Geannè Darke.

“In addition to the Beerfest and party, there will be a water sport event called Water Polo in the Canals.”

In support of the Oktoberfest and St Francis College, the St Francis Surf Factory has donated two ‘grom’ boards towards the fundraising. Raffle tickets are R50 each and the two winners will each win a custom-ordered ‘grom’ board valued at R4 000 each.

The St Francis Bay Oktoberfest will take place on October 14 at 165 St Francis Drive from 5pm. Tickets at R150 per person are available from
