IT was all smiles and joy on the faces of Ghetto Eleven FC’s junior players when the Lincoln Mali Foundation presented them with sponsored kit at Kwazakhele Township on Sunday.

The foundation sponsored two sets of kit for Kwazakhele’s oldest club’s u/13 and u/15 teams.

Ghetto Eleven president, Vusumzi Mdange Nginza, said that his juniors had been wearing senior team kits during their league games.

Nginza said the new kit would restore the dignity of the junior players.

“The players will be motivated and encouraged. Their levels of confidence will be high.

“Their dignity will be restored because life has been difficult for these players. History has been made at our club, which has no financial muscle.”

Zakhele Football Association deputy president, Thando Pinoki Koboka, thanked the Lincoln Mali Foundation for changing the lives of the Ghetto Eleven juniors.

“The youth are our future and we need to nurture the young talents.

“I want to thank the Lincoln Mali Foundation for sponsoring Ghetto Eleven juniors. These boys will never forget about what the foundation has done for them.

“Furthermore, I would like give thanks to Sabelo Nkuhlu for organising this sponsorship for Ghetto Eleven FC. Nkuhlu is very passionate about sport. He is a guy who is humble and courteous.”
