Go for gold with Engen Pitch & Polish

2016-09-07 06:00

POTENTIAL and established entrepreneurs can look forward to get some inspiration and good advice when the Engen Pitch & Polish workshop comes to Port Elizabeth on Saturday, October 15.

The ENGEN Pitch & Polish entrepreneurial workshop and competition programme is the only programme of its kind in South Africa listed on the ANDE Entrepreneur Ecosystem Map as a capacity development provider.

During the one-day event, entrepreneurs will discover, in a learning and feedback environment, how to polish their business pitch in the most professional manner, together with the audience encouraging them to go for gold, simultaneously learning with them.

The free workshop gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn instantly and directly how to transform their dream, their idea into reality and how to reach for the sky.

Pitch & Polish is made possible by Engen Petroleum Ltd, Nedbank, Raizcorp and SAfm, and supported by the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as local partners Bay FM, Hope Factory and Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber.

Entrepreneurs can register as a delegate for the workshop, or, if they feel they are bold enough, they can complete an entry form and stand the chance of being selected as a contestant.

When completing the entry form, here are some insider tips to consider:

1. Include your full name and the name of your business or business idea

2. Double-check your spelling and grammar

3. Simple is best: do not get carried away by emotion

4. Be real, be yourself

5. And then, whether a delegate or contestant – be on time for the event.
