GOLDEN Aces’ diehard supporters saw their side succumb 4-0 to Ikamva Movers during their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League home game at Zwide Stadium on Sunday.

Following their 3-2 victory to Mabayibone Strikers, Aces could not topple Movers.

Buntu ‘Fish’ Mnyamana registered Movers’ opening goal after the diminutive striker beat two defenders, with Aces goalkeeper Siyasamkele Ngcikwe beaten in the far post.

Mnyamana rounded the Aces’ defenders and he sent a good pass to Thulani Dyantyi who registered his first goal that increased Movers’ lead to 2-0.

Movers kept on searching for their goal that came courtesy of Dyantyi after he received a perfect pass from Siyanda Sidzumo.

Movers’ dangerman Mbongeni Keita Yako penetrated between the Aces’ defenders and one of them kicked him in the box, with the referee awarding a penalty that was scored by Thobela Mhomho to put his side 4-0 ahead of Aces.

The half time score was 4-0 in favour of the Ikamvelihle side.

In the second half, Mcebisi Mdwayi, who came on as a substitute, put pressure on the Movers’ defenders, but their solid defence paid off.

Aces’ left wing Thembinkosi Ngcikwe was caught off guard on several occasions. Mnyamana was put on the floor by Aces’ goalie Ngcikwe, who was cautioned by the referee after a penalty that was missed by Movers’ left fullback Anele Baxa was awarded.

Movers’ midfielder Luxolo Djemba-djemba Monti, who was put into the fray, failed to connect an easy opportunity into the back of the net. Ngcikwe could have scored Aces’ goal, but the wing side-netted the ball with Movers’ goalie Mandilakhe Dlamini covering the near post. Mdwayi blasted the ball over the poles with Dlamini well-beaten.
