THE Sasol Ladies’ League hosted a number of enthralling games over the weekend during which some top teams were embarrassed.

Highbury Ladies could not impress their home supporters when they slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Bashee Eagles. City Lads, on the other hand, registered an emphatic 5-1 away victory against Executive Ladies.

Manchester Babes failed to collect the maximum three points when they played to a 2-2 draw against the University of Fort Hare at Jabavu Stadium.

To the dismay of their loyal home supporters, Eluhewini Ladies were drubbed 4-1 by Cumakala Ladies.

Meanwhile, Eastern Rangers Ladies shared a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Amanqilo Birds.

Red Roses did not have to sweat for their three league points after they were awarded soft points over Sophakama Ladies.

Despite their 2-1 loss to Thunderbirds Ladies, Ayakha Stars played an outstanding game.

In the final match of the weekend, Birmingham City Ladies handed a 3-0 defeat to Golden Stars.
