They say revenge is a dish best served cold... and this is what Dis koue kos, skat is all about.

Clara Brand (Anna-Mart van der Merwe) is the last one to find out that her husband, Bernard (Deon Lotz) is cheating on her with a colleague and close friend, Anaïs (Angelique Gerber).

She packs up her life in Johannesburg and moves to Cape Town with her two children to start over. She rediscovers her love for cooking and decides to give private cooking lessons to men who can't cook.

She also decides to try the dating game again after so many years of married life...but with disastrous consequences. That is until she meets restaurant owner and chef, Ari (Frank Opperman), who shares her passion for food. The more time they spend together, the easier it is for her to forget her ex-husband and Anaïs.

Tables turn when Bernard and the young Anaïs get married and Bernard quickly realises that he had made a mistake...and wants Clara back.

Anna-Mart van der Merwe gives a brilliant performance in this movie and with the likes of Elsabé Zietsman portraying Clara's best friend Minette, you are guaranteed to have some good laughs - with some jokes below the belt.

It is a humorous look at horrible situations like divorce and betrayal, with a happy ending - if you are a woman, that is!

The film is based on the novel by Marita van der Vyver.
