Impressive league wins for St Albans, PE City

ST Albans and PE City both notched up huge scores in the latest round of games in the PELFA Old Buck Dry Gin legends league last Wednesday.

St Albans whipped West Park 4-1 on their home ground. For St Albans, goals in the first half were scored by Sphelo Ndamase, Akhona Dyaba and Tekiso Mntwana.

St Albans’ fourth goal was scored by Akhona Dyaba. West Park had scored the opening goal through Carwyn Thompson 10 minutes into the first half but then conceded three goals by half time.

PE City demolished Priory Shamrocks B 5-1. For City, Cliffy Murphy scored four goals (three in the first half and one in the second) and Roger Njena netted one. Kuyga Masters and Central Acemates played out a 2-2 draw.

Fairview Rovers beat African Leopards 3-0 at St Albans.

For Rovers, Lee-Roy Frieslaar netted in the 15th minute, Grant Burgins in the 25th and Tertuis Afrikaner in the 60th minute of the game.

In a tight game, Callies and Mahle Old Grey played out a 1-1 draw. Both teams scored in the first half.

Dillon Germishuys had Callies ahead in the 20th minute of the game and Tony Danev equalised for Old Grey five minutes before half time.
