SHE'S only been a DJ since August 2019, but she’s already making headlines.

Chuma Kimberley, better known as DJ Blendish the Selector, is gearing up for another music session in February.

The old-school R&B and soul DJ has been invited to a number of prominent venues and events, and headlined a few as well.

“The music I play has a message of love and happiness and I want to remind people that we need to spread love wherever we go,” she said.

Blendish will be taking it up a notch with a strictly old school R&B, soul and Afro soul music session, dubbed Love, Lust and Music, at PataPata Lifestyle in New Brighton on February 29 from 14:00.

The event is aimed at celebrating her journey with the DJs that have played a role in her career thus far, as well as to gather music lovers under one roof and enjoy nothing but the best music from the maestros of the genre.

Love, Lust and Music is also for Blendish to say thank you to her supporters for their undying support.

“There is a lot of work to be done among musicians and DJs in Nelson Mandela Bay and there is a lot that can be achieved if we work together.

“We need to set an example to young aspiring artists,” she said.

A double ticket to the music session is R100. Contact Siyanda Jemsana at 064 464 1250 or Chuma Kimberley at 078 482 9353.
