LOCAL mentalist, Brendon Peel, will showcase his talent in Hocus Pocus at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival.Peel was born and raised in Port Elizabeth and enjoyed pranks, practical jokes and tricks at a young age. After reading his first magic book, he discovered an undying passion for the mysterious art form. At the age of 16, he started performing close-up magic at a local restaurant and the interest in psychology behind the mind tricks led him to his love of mentalism for which he is renowned today. At 18, he was the youngest solo magic act to perform at the National Arts Festival. This year will be his seventh time at the festival. Hocus Pocus is about exploring the human mind and the capabilities of the subconscious. The show includes mind tricks, hypnotic suggestion and illusion which culminate into one hour of interactive and engaging entertainment that will leave the audience mesmerised.Brendon Peel will bring Hocus Pocus to the Masonic Front in Grahamstown from June 29.
