NEW Brighton Masters wrecked the nerves of Eleven Attackers Masters’ supporters, despite losing their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Masters Association League clash at the Motherwell NU 13 grounds on Sunday.

The Britons did not respect the hosting side as they fought tooth and nail. The visitors took the game to Attackers.

Thembelani Kimsho Kondlo and Monde Tsoko were the most effective midfielders for Attackers. The long-awaited goal, which gave the home supporters a sigh of relief, was banged in by Vincent Mgodleni.

Attackers increased their lead to 2-0 after Ncedisa Gondwe Goniwe found the back of the net. Following a good move, Thabang Messi Beshu scored a beautiful goal that decreased their deficit to 2-1.

Thando Bashin Matinyane and Andile Pitsi Buthelezi looked as though they would score a goal each for Attackers, but Wanele Rara Klaasen, Ayanda Magwada and Loyiso Bara Ndongeni kept things tight at the back.

Attackers’ defenders, Gcobani Bolo and Mpumelelo Gcwememe, managed to deal with New Brighton star midfielder, Mzamo Toyota Mbayi. New Brighton could have equalised, but Beshu’s shot hit the upright.
