Mayoral Cup launched with great success

THE Nelson Mandela Bay Cup 2018 rugby fixtures were launched with great success on Saturday at the Adcock Stadium in Korsten, as well as the Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobuhle and Dan Qeqe Stadium.

Among the high profile people in attendance was Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Mongameli Bobani.

Star of Hope RFC drubbed Spring Rose RFC 25-0, after they scored four tries.

Fireworks were produced after Parks RFC earned a narrow 30-27 victory over Progress RFC.

Missionvale RFC humiliated Gelvandale Wallabies RFC 22-3 in a one-sided affair.

Despatch RFC were awarded soft points over African Bombers RFC, who failed to honour their game.

Harlequins RFC scored 10 tries as they thumped Windvogel RFC 64-7, while Suburbans succumbed 35-8 to the tough Gardens RFC.
