THE Extreme Modelling Agency held their awards celebration on December 2 to honour their top models for their hard work throughout the year.

The modelling agency and grooming academy serves the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro by schooling models in a variety of disciplines, ranging from personal grooming to interpersonal communication skills.

“One of our highlights and most prestigious events of the year is the awards celebration.

“Going into 2018, our representatives have different tasks and projects and here we get the opportunity to award them for their dedication and hard work throughout the year,” said Veruschka Barnard, owner of the Extreme Modelling Agency.

According to her, there is far more to being a model than just presenting a beautiful image.

“You need to be a go-getter, hardworking, prepared to work long hours, a people’s person, able to think outside the box and create new looks for yourself. Each job is different.

“I love kids, I love helping people, and I love giving back to my community.”

One of the agency’s most popular services is the finishing school they run for both boys and girls. Here, they are taught about confidence, self-esteem, table etiquette, life skills, overall appearances, individual attention and much more. The finishing school will run once more in February next year.

“The modelling industry is an amazing industry to be part of, but just like anything else in life, everything is hard work,” Barnard said.
