Motocross National Champs this Saturday

THE Rover Motorcycle Club will be hosting the first round of the South African National Motocross Championship at Rover motocross track in Victoria Drive on Saturday, February 18.

Local rider Keegan Hickson-Mahony will be defending his number 1 plate after winning the 125 high school class championship in 2016. Other local riders who are in contention to win and to watch out for are: Andrew Wren in the MX1 class, Kyle Townsend in the 65cc class and Liam Botha in the 50cc class. Racing starts at 10am. The entrance fee for spectators is R60 at the gate and children under 12 enter free. There will be food on sale, jumping castles for the kids and a beer tent.
