New venue, route for Color Run

THE popular 2.5km curtain raiser for next weekend’s SPAR Women’s Challenge, the SPAR Little Ladies race, takes place on Monday, May 2 in Summerstrand. The race is only for girls aged nine years and under and is an exclusive part of the Port Elizabeth Women’s Challenge event.

Just like the main event, the Little Ladies race includes medals, prizes and lucky draws with proceeds from the event going to the Hope Jones Foundation. (Read the full story on page 16)

Hope, who is now 8 years old, will be joining hundreds of little girls on the start line this year. Entries are open until just before the race from the race village situated behind the Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club.

The Color Run rainbox tour hits PE in June

The Color Run returns to Port Elizabeth on Sunday, June 12, with a new venue, new route and lots of colour.

This year’s Color Run will be hosted at the Boardwalk Festival Lawns with early bird tickets on sale now.

Tickets can be bought online with credit/debit cards or eft/bank transfer or manual entries (no discounts offered) are obtainable from the following Port Elizabeth outlets; News Cafe (Boardwalk), Toby’s Caltex (8th Avenue, Walmer), Brian Bands Sports (Newton Park) or Zsports Events NPC offices (North End Lake).

More is more and 2016 promises more fun, more colour, more awesome goodie giveaways, more laughter, more smiles and more rainbows. The Color Run is crazy about mini colour runners, so all under 10’s run for free.

Online early bird entries are R175 whilst standard or manual entry is R260 per person with late entries on race weekend being R300.
