Newsbreak to discuss elections in Malabar

2019-03-20 06:02

IN the build-up to the 2019 General Election, which is scheduled for May 8, Lotus FM’s Newsbreak team will be travelling to Malabar on March 23 for their Election Debate Roadshow.

Travelling all the way from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, the team, led by executive producer Salma Patel, will assemble a panel of political party representatives to assess the impact they have made in the community.

This will serve as a clear gauge on their political will ahead of the polls.

Service delivery, crime, health-care and issues of corruption are likely to dominate the agenda, as the Newsbreak presenter, Taresh Harreeparshad, gets tough on social issues afflicting Malabar.

The team is keen to meet the community of Malabar to canvas their concerns ahead of the polls.

The Election Debate Roadshow will take place at the KGM Centre in Mountview Drive, Malabar, on Saturday, March 23 from 13:00 to 14:00.
