NGCOZA Amazulu banged in an all-important equalising goal for Young Teenagers when they played against Motherwell Academy to a 2-2 draw in their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League game at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

Initially, AmaChina had the lion’s share of ball possession.

Their never-say-die spirit helped them break the ice after Sipho Tomson came up with Teenager’s opening goal.

AmaChina skipper, Siphelele Gwenu Jonas, was offensive down the left flank, but Motherwell defender, Anele Klaas, was equal to the task.

The first half ended in 1-0 with AmaChina leading.

In the second-half, Motherwell came back fired-up and in dire need of their opening goal.

It seemed that their head coach, Ernest Makina and his assistant coach, Vusumzi Stamper, had motivated the Motherwell players during the break.

AmaChina’s defence looked jittery. Former Lion City striker, Ludwe Sonjica, laid a perfect pass to Luzuko Payi, who registered Motherwell’s equalising goal.

Motherwell increased their score to 2-1, after Zuko Mbunjana penetrated between the defenders of Teenagers like a hot knife through butter.

Sonjica also played an important role in the build-up to Motherwell’s second goal.

The inclusion of Teenagers’ star player, Kilambe Mathumbu, as a super substitute paid dividends as he was so productive in the midfield.

AmaChina were awarded a free kick, which Ngcoza put in the back of the net.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with the fans being entertained throughout the game.
