THE popular Town Lodge Business Night Relay returns on the last Tuesday of the month for some unique action-packed team building fun for corporates, clubs, schools and friends.

With four race nights on the last Tuesday evening of May, June, July and August, the increasingly popular series offers great prizes and a welcome evening of fellowship in the comfort of the VIP Lounge of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Gather your friends and colleagues for a running team of five persons or a walking team of three persons and come take part in the series where each team member is required to complete a 3.5km lap within the stadium precinct.

The stadium Lakeside gates open at 16:00 for teams to collect their race numbers and team baton(s) with the races starting from 18:00 and concluding with the lucky draw prize-giving at 20:10 while all participants receive an ice cold Score Energy Drink at the end of their lap. Great food and beverages are available, made by the stadium caterers.

There are categories for the all mens, all ladies’ and mixed relay running teams as well as a walking category with floating trophies and winner medals for each.

Gamble Pharmacy from Uitenhage are the undisputed depending champions while both their men’s and mixed teams are holding the course records. The series is ideally suited to the social wannabe runners/walkers who are keen to socialise with their colleagues whilst enjoying a casual 3.5km run/walk through the stadium, making this series unique in South Africa.

Entry fee is just R500 per running team, R300 per walking team and discounted options are also available for teams wanting to sign up for all four race nights in the series as well as corporate packages which include VIP parking and food/beverage vouchers for the team members.

This month’s race takes place on Tuesday, May 29. Entries are available online at www.zsports.co.za. For more info contact Zsports events NPC on 041 484 7860.
