NPO seeks to empower business community

A LOCAL non-profit organisation has invited the business community, and other interested parties, to join them at their business breakfast, which takes place at the end of the month.

The People Upliftment Programme (POPUP) seeks to transform lives and uplift individuals through its accredited programmes for skills development.

“By impacting on the heart, hand and mind of individuals, they are transformed from the inside out.

“This results in a changed individual, who can positively impact on their immediate surroundings; their households; extended families and communities, resulting in a better South Africa at large,” POPUP NMB said in a recent statement.

Graham Power, world-renowned speaker and chairperson of the Power Group, will be the speaker at the event and will share his one-of-a-kind story of making an impact through business success and community involvement, both locally and internationally.

He will provide insight into experience gained by running the Power Group – one of Africa’s leading construction firms – and specifically address his entrepreneurial quest to change a culture of corruption.

The POPUP Nelson Mandela Bay team invites the business community to join hands by attending this event, gaining knowledge and working together towards a shared vision of uplifting our city and communities.

The breakfast will take place at La Colline Functions Venue in Montmedy Road, Lorraine, on August 27 at 07:30 for 08:00. The theme is ‘Empowered’.

A limited number of tickets are available at R250.
